Is the So Pure line safe to use during pregnancy? Yes. The So Pure line is perfectly safe to use during pregnancy, except for the Bath Salt Therapy, due to the inclusion of Rosemary Essential oil and our Purifying & Balancing Concentrate.
Do you outsource your products to another factory for packaging, filling, shipment etc? Formulations are made in house by hand and in small batches each month to ensure freshness and potency. We also do this to minimise our carbon footprint as much as we can. Each So Pure product is formulated, filled, bottled, labelled by hand and sent out from the same place! We are our own manufacturers.
What is limonene, linalool etc? These are fragrance components naturally occurring from essential oils in minute quantities. They can cause allergies in some people, however the risk is very low. These are not only present in all cosmetics, skincare etc, but are also in every day household cleaners, shampoos, perfumes etc. The EU requires all manufacturers to disclose this information on the labels.
Environmentally aware
We always strive to be an environmentally responsible brand and decided not to include boxes to house our bottles and jars. Most often boxes are discarded once the product has been opened.
Do I have to be in my thirties or over to use the So Pure Skincare range? Absolutely not. Our Elixirs and Serums are light in texture and non-greasy, even though they are packed with high concentrations of botanicals. Prevention is often better than cure, so it’s never too early to slow down the signs of ageing, (combined with a natural sun screen protection of at least SPF 20), So Pure’s aim is to encourage clear and glowing skin and not to look like a 15 year old when you are above a certain age! You can even start if you are in your teens. The Nourishing Balm Cleanser, Radiance Nectar and a few drops of one the facial oils maybe all that is needed for teenage/adolescent skin types. We believe it is never too early or too late to start a skincare regime after all we 'wear' our skin every day.
Why a balm cleanser to clean the face? It is best for all skin conditions not to strip the skins acid mantle and disrupt its PH level by using harsh surfactants. Even oily or combination skins benefit from a more nourishing oily balm based cleanser, as ‘like treats like’ (according to Holistic medicine). Our Nourishing Balm Cleanser has a melting consistency, which emulsifies to a milk once warm water is added. The emulsifying action ensures there is no greasy residue left on the skin once the product is wiped and rinsed off. This also means you do not have to use your wet flannel more than once or twice to remove the product residue.
We do not include tap water, purified or distilled in any of our formulations. Formulations which require water, instead contain a base of pure floral nectars which have their own therapeutic and healing effects.
Each *floral water based product contain extracts of organic Edelweiss and Laminaria Digitata chosen for their anti-ageing, collagen stimulating, soothing, properties. Both actives offer many benefits for all skin conditions.
Our one of a kind formulations are freshly made to order by hand. We never use pre made bases then add actives or other ingredients to them.
So Pure Skincare are not fans of gimmicky packaging. Instead we focus on the highest quality, most potent ingredients of which mostly are organic. The luxury is in the ingredients which will make the difference to your skin not the bottle or jar. Please do take a look at our product ingredients, you will see we add the most beneficial ingredients towards the top. We do not overload our serums with waxes, we use the minimum amount as possible to form an' emulsion' ensuring the floral waters and botanical oils can combine without separating. Having said that, we use glass for all our packaging, as most plastic can contaminate the formulations.
The So Pure Skincare brand came about managing my 1st son's eczema since he was 6 months old with a mostly organic, 100% natural anhydrous balm recipe I had created for him. This was over 3 years ago. Soon it was managing and healing another family member's eczema. Soon friends and family suggested I create my own skin care line. I always had a passion for skincare and had tried many brands both chemical laden and natural.
This led me into studying Holistic Cosmetology and there my passion for creating skincare for my family began. When my 2nd son was born, he too had an angry red patch on his forehead and after using the same balm recipe on him and within days the red patch had disappeared- for good. This balm recipe has been included in my So Pure Skincare range- Nourishing Balm Cleanser, Healing Hand Body Balm and Argan Skin Rescue.
I became focussed to create a range without any toxic ingredients, useless fillers such as water, high amounts of waxes (albeit plant based) to 'bulk' out the product. The paraben free, non-formaldehyde preservative system used in So Pure emulsion serums and flower water based formulations is accepted world-wide to be included in organic cosmetics. Our cold emulsifier is over 90% organic. Our water in oil emulsifier is derived from sustainable coconut sources, and is 100% plant based and does not contain any chemicals or animal ingredients,which often make up some so called natural emulsifiers. We use only plant derived Hyaluronic acid in our formulations.
So Pure skincare never use ingredients which would have questionable health repercussions – only 100% all natural, toxin free ingredients are used which are highly organic. At So Pure is We do not test on animals- only humans! So Pure believe skincare and body care should not add to the toxin burden our bodies already deals with. We are already surrounded by enough toxins ie: everyday pollution etc. We say NO to Beeswax ( pore clogging & comedogenic), parabens, phenoxyethanol, fillers, silicones, glycols, artificial fragrance, colours, penetration enhancers, pthalates, PEGS ,TEA and DEA at all times.

So Pure do not create individual products for several parts of the body such as a separate hand, body, and a foot balm. Our body balms are multi tasking. Our Anti Ageing Serum also protects the skin barrier function, hydrates, protects as well adding nutrients back into the skin. Less products and packaging means less waste.
