So Pure skincare never use ingredients which would have questionable health repercussions – only natural, highly organic, toxin free ingredients are used. At So Pure Skincare we do not test on animals- only humans. So Pure believe skincare and body care should not add to the toxin burden our bodies already deals with. We are already surrounded by enough toxins ie: everyday pollution etc. We say No to: GMO ingredients, parabens, phenoxyethanol, fillers, silicones, glycols, artificial fragrance, colours, penetration enhancers, pthalates, PEGS ,TEA and DEA at all times.

The So Pure Skincare brand came from managing my 1st son's eczema since he was 6 months old with a mostly organic, 100% natural anhydrous balm recipe I had created for him. This was over 3 years ago. Soon it was managing and healing another family member's eczema. Soon friends and family suggested I create my own skin care line. I always had a passion for skincare and had tried many brands both chemical laden and natural.

This led me into studying Holistic Cosmetology and there my passion for creating skincare for my family began. When my 2nd son was born, he too had an angry red patch on his forehead and after using the same balm recipe on him and within days the red patch had disappeared- for good. This balm recipe has been included in my So Pure Skincare range- Nourishing Balm Cleanser, Healing Hand Body Balm and Argan Skin Rescue.

I became focussed to create a range without any toxic ingredients, useless fillers such as water, high amounts of waxes (albeit plant based) to 'bulk' out the product. The paraben free, non-formaldehyde preservative system used in So Pure emulsion serums and flower water based formulations is accepted world-wide to be included in organic cosmetics. Our cold emulsifier is over 90% organic. Our water in oil emulsifier is derived from sustainable coconut sources, and is 100% plant based and does not contain any chemicals or animal ingredients,which often make up some so called natural emulsifiers. I only use plant derived Hyaluronic acid in my formulations.

Which products to use and when

Radiance Flower nectar is to be used after cleansing as a toner.

Anti Ageing Serum is to be used in the morning this serum is suitable for all skin types.

Anti Ageing Nutrient Elixir is suitable for all skin types and ages from the teens and up.

All Facial oils/Elixirs/Concentrates/Balm can be used during the day on top of the serum or alone at night.

Facial Masks/Exfoliants to be used 1-3 times a week morning or night unless specified.

Hyaluronic Acid ( derived via fermentation of wheat)

Hyaluronic Acid has the ability to attract and retain moisture within the skin. It has a very plumping and anti-ageing effect on the skin thus minimises lines and wrinkles.

Laminaria Digitata

This brown Algae helps to stimulate collagen synthesis as well as having a lifting effect on the skin. It also has the ability to break up and flush away toxins, and rejuvenate the dermal stem cells. You will find this in: Radiance Flower Nectar & Anti Ageing Serum.

Glycoproteins (non GMO yeast derived)

Helps to prevent dehydration in all skin types, whilst promoting softness and elasticity. Glycoproteins are similar to proteins found naturally within human skin which makes it easily accepted by the upper dermal layers. You will find this in: Anti Ageing Serum.

Ascorbyl Palmitate

This pharmaceutical grade, anti ageing, oil soluble, Vitamin C Ester helps to fight 'free radicals', enhance UV protection and to protect the skins own collagen. Unlike ascorbic acid, it does not irritate or exfoliate the skin, neither does it make the skin 'sun sensitive'. This potent antioxidant helps to clarify and brighten thus help with skin discolouration.

Co-enzyme Q10

It's anti free- radical power is known to protect the skin from premature ageing caused by oxidative stress and sun exposure. It has been known to reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, stimulate collagen,as well as boosting the cell membrane function. It acts in synergy with vitamin E which is why both these actives are included in: Anti Ageing Serum, Antioxidant Body Glow, Antioxidant Intensive Facial & Antioxidant Rejuvenating Concentrate.

Supercritical or CO2

is an advanced, 'state of the art', more expensive method of pure plant extraction. Supercritical or CO2 allows for the extraction of ingredients without the use of any chemical solvents. The CO2 or supercritical extraction process obtains the extracts in their most natural & potent form. CO2 enables the plant extract to be brought into contact under high pressure. This is done all at low temperatures thus preserving of all the botanical benefits such as vitamins, omegas, enzymes etc. This means high purity, highly concentrated plant compounds and a very true fragrance of the fresh botanical without the deterioration or adulteration of the beneficial compounds. Most importantly, without the use of solvents such as hexane.

Acmella Spilanthes

The Acmella Flower is known to help relax facial tension and reduce expression lines and wrinkles, effectively smoothing out the skin. Acmella oleracea extract is an effective agent on expression wrinkles. Research also suggests when applying to the skin, Acmella Extract will enhance the penetration of other ingredients. Also known as the toothache plant famed for its numbing properties.

Dragon's Blood

Also known as Sange de Drago. The curative powers of this thick sap are well known by the indigenous tribes around the Amazon rainforest and is considered to be the most effective herbal medicine in that area. The natives apply the resin on their skin to help stop bleeding, disinfect wounds and promote healing of almost any skin problem they have.Dragon’s Blood resin are attributed to its active ingredients: a lignan called dimethylcedrusine, an alkaloid called taspine and proanthocyanadins (antioxidants). Taspine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and cicatrizing properties. Studies have also shown that the resin is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic assist in the formation of collagen and regenerate skin cells.

Micro Algae

Micro algae ( Cylindrotheca Fusiformis Extract) strongly stimulates production of structural skin proteins. Tests showed the capacity to stimulate cellular proliferation which significantly increased collagen synthesis by 19.3% using a 2% concentration in only 24 hours.
