CO2 Carrot

The CO2 Carrot Jojoba extract is a unique product, and comes from a high-performance extraction of carrot roots. It contains provitamin A (carotenoids) in large quantities, a precursor of Vitamin A, ideal for skin preparations of anti-aging creams, balms and after-sun oils body oils .

What are Carotenoids?

Carotenoids are natural yellow orange pigments found in fruits and vegetables and have photo-protective properties in plants. The most studied at present are the beta-carotene or lycopene, and pigments xanthophyles as zeaxanthin and lutein. Their antioxidant effect is often highlighted as they are capable of trapping some free radicals. It also refers to the ability of carotenoids to modulate the activity of certain enzymes, lipoxygenases, pro-inflammatory and immunomodulatory enzymes.
